How do I pause, change or cancel my plan?
You can pause, change your delivery schedule, or cancel anytime from your The Farmer's Dog account. There are no contracts.
Is the 50% off offer still available?
At the time of writing, new customers get 50% off their first box, plus free shipping. Offers are set by The Farmer's Dog and can change at any time. You'll see the current price before you pay.
How much does it cost after the first box?
Price depends on your dog's size, age and activity level, because every plan is portioned individually. You'll see your exact price after building your plan, before you pay.
Fresh dog food basics
What is fresh dog food?
Gently cooked food made from meat and vegetables, kept cold instead of baked into shelf-stable pellets. It looks and smells like real food.
Is it complete and balanced?
The Farmer's Dog recipes are developed by vets and board-certified nutritionists to meet AAFCO standards for complete and balanced nutrition.
How do I store it?
Fresh packs go in the freezer, and you thaw them in the fridge as needed. Plan some freezer space before your first box arrives.
How do I switch from kibble?
Go slowly over about 10 days. A common plan: days 1–3, 25% fresh; days 4–6, 50%; days 7–9, 75%; day 10, 100%. Mix it into the old food at each step. Check with your vet first if your dog has a health condition.
My dog is a picky eater. Will it work?
Many picky dogs respond to the smell and texture of fresh food, but every dog is different. The discounted first box is a low-risk way to find out.
