Accessibility statement
Last updated: November 2, 2026
Every dog owner should be able to read our guides and use the Bowl Check, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a one-time checkbox.
What we do
- Use semantic HTML, a logical heading order and descriptive link text.
- Give meaningful images text alternatives and hide decorative ones from screen readers.
- Keep text and buttons in high-contrast colors, with large tap targets on mobile.
- Make pages work with a keyboard, with visible focus styles.
- Respect your device's reduced-motion setting by turning off scroll animations.
- Let text resize and reflow on small screens without horizontal scrolling.
Known limitations
- The interactive photo comparison in the Bowl Check is a visual extra that works best with a mouse or touch. The key differences between the two bowls are also described in text on the page.
- When you click through to a merchant, such as The Farmer's Dog, you leave our Site. Its accessibility is managed by that merchant.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on our Site is hard to use, email [email protected] with the page address and what happened. We aim to reply within 2 business days and, where we can, provide the information in another format while we fix the issue.
